A beautiful 15th Century thatched holiday cottage, on the southern slopes of the South Downs in the tiny hamlet of Clapham in West Sussex.

Hall House was originally two small cottages, and has been renovated and restored by Sussex Heritage Trust to form a wonderful holiday home for up to six people. Each of the three bedrooms is reached by its own staircase, and the cottage can sleep up to six people. There are two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room.

Some of the doorways are very low, as they fit under the massive timbers forming the framework of the cottage. There is a shower room downstairs, and upstairs a bathroom which can be accessed directly from two of the bedrooms. This bathroom has a bath with shower attachment. Downstairs many traditional features remain, such as a bread oven and the copper for the weekly wash.

The sitting room and dining room are comfortable and well furnished, and the kitchen is modern and practical. Outside there is a quiet rear garden with patio area adjacent to the cottage.
