Freedom island bungalow resort is all by itself at the north end of Koh Rong Samloem’s Saracen Bay. It has a pleasant hang-out area and is so little known that you might have the entire place to yourself.
The deluxe beach front bungalows are equiped with fan and basic furniture. The private bathroom includes a shower and free toiletries. The bungalow veranda offers great views of the sea and magical sun-sets. Freedom Island Bungalow offers 2 types of bungalows. The Superior bungalow with sea view and the Standard bungalow with sea view.
Freedom island bungalow resort includes an attractive freshwater pool carved into the natural rocks here. As Freedom island bungalow operate their own boats, guests can go on a fishing or diving trip, or make a boat trip to explore the island’s surroundings. Other activities include canoeing, hiking, snorkelling and water sport facilities.
Restaurant (à la carte) and bar
On the resort is a à la carte restaurant that offers excellent affordable western and Cambodian food. If you like to have breakfast, lunch or diner in your bungalow, the restaurant offers room service at no extra cost. The bar in the restaurant is open till late, but keeps the noise levels down at all times. If your in for all night loud Techno parties, Freedom Island Bungalow is not the place to stay.

Koh Rong Samloem and Saracen Bay
Koh Rong Samloem is the tropical island off the coast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. It includes a large heart-shaped bay called Saracen Bay. Saracen Bay offers the most beautiful white sandy pristine beach of the island.
At the top of the island is the home of a small fishing village called M’Pay Bay. Also Koh Rong Samloem is home to the privately owned business Marine Conservation Cambodia, which works with the local villagers in order to protect the unique marine life around the island.
Other places to visit on Koh Rong Samloen are the old lighthouse, fishing villages, mangroves and waterfalls.
Transfer to and from the island
Koh Rong Samloem can be reached by boat from Sihanouk ville in about 2 hours by slow boat or 30 minutes by the speed ferry. We recommend you book your island transfer with Freedom Boat Tours, as we will drop you right off at the private pier of the Freedom Island Bungalow resort. Other ferry services, including the speed ferry, use the public pier that is at a 20 minute walk from the resort.
