A day at Roots begins with a delicious breakfast in our elevated jungle deck while watching the hummingbirds fly.
As the sun rises, head to our Jungle Trails for some adventures. Look out for the friendly agoutis and play with the jungle vines.
On your way back, take a refreshing swim in our Natural Pool and relax on the River Beach.
Enjoy a quiet evening in your hammock while listening to the jungle come alive as the first stars appear on the sky.
Finish the day in our Open Kitchen Restaurant with a home-made meal and local bush rum.
On full moon, if you dare, join us on our night walk through the mountains.

LIVING IN ROOTS IS LIVING IN NATURE SO WE TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER.
We generate our electricity using only the river, we build our cottages with minimum environmental impact, we reuse our organic waste as compost, and we care for the island natural resources.
As part of Roots´s commitment to the preservation of the environment and the development of the Dominican community, we decorate our cabins with local handcrafts and we cook our meals with fruit and vegetables grown in our garden or nearby farms.
